Explanation : Yes! I finally caught an R40 D train. Here, it arrives at, stops, and leaves Broadway-Lafayette Street bound for the Bronx. There are some things I should point out. 1. I had to wait nearly 45 minutes for this train. 2. It did not take long for the conductor to complain about me filming, but at least he did not yell and scream like the operator did in "Entering the Steinway Street Tunnel." 3. Someone threw well-prepared, but uneaten food on the tracks, which is not only quite gross, but a serious waste of resources. 4. Due to construction, D trains were split into two sections at Broadway-Lafayette Streets and Downtown trains ran local via the A line between 145th and West 4th Streets. The Concourse R40s that normally run on the B were used to provide extra service on the Manhattan-Bronx section. So if you want to film an R40 D train, make sure this G.O. is in effect or go out when the New York Yankees are playing in the Bronx.
